Louie Schafer connected on a two-out double and eventually scored on a throwing error as Victor stunned Webster Schroeder ranked N0. 1 NYS Class AA. Brandon Meeks picked up the win in relief allowing one run over two innings. Nate Hampson started and struck out four over five innings. Schroeder took a 1-0 lead in the first on Tommy Winn’s two-out single. Victor’s Tommy Ryan plated Chris Varone with two outs in the fourth to knot the game. Zack Carpin gave the Blue Devils the lead in the sixth when he drove in Varone. Schroeder’s Conner Bisaillon doubled and scored on a Caleb Punter single to tie the score at two after six innings. Schroeder put the tying run aboard in the seventh. Varone and Schafer finished 2-for-4 for Victor. Bisaillon went 2-for-3, and Punter was 3-for-3 for Schroeder. Victor will play No. 5 seed McQuaid in the semi-finals.

Junior Jake Schuler took advantage of the three innings he played Monday afternoon, going 2-for-2 and driving home two runs on a single and throwing three innings with no runs, no hits and one walk allowed with four strikeouts for the Fairport Red Raiders. READ MORE.
