Michael Pineda started for the Yankees, going six-and-two-thirds innings and giving up three runs on six hits and one walk.

MILWAUKEE, WI– Mookie Betts drove in three runs on two hits in the Red Sox lone win of the three-game series. Eduardo Rodriguez gave the Red Sox six innings of one run on three hits and no walks. Jimmy Nelson threw six-and-two-thirds innings and let up one unearned run, four hits and four walks.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL– Whit Merrifield picked up two RBI and two hits as the Royals continue to try to climb out of last place in the AL Central. Jason Vargas tossed seven scoreless innings for the Royals, allowing just three hits and one walk. Jake Odorizzi lasted six innings for the Rays, giving up one run on four hits and two walks.

TORONTO, ON– Justin Smoak went 3-for-3 with four RBI to help snap the Mariners four-game win streak. Marco Estrada tossed six innings with two runs, four hits and three walks allowed for the Blue Jays. Nelson Cruz drove in both of the Mariners’ runs on a two-run home run. Chase De Jong remains winless for the Mariners after surrendering six runs on seven hits and three walks in five innings.

ARLINGTON, TX– Mike Napoli plated four runs thanks to two home runs in the Rangers third consecutive win. Martin Perez let up two runs, seven hits and two walks in six-and-one-third innings. Clayton Richard made it seven innings for the Padres, allowing one run on five hits and one walk.

CHICAGO, IL– Eduardo Escobar provided the Twins with four RBI on two hits to bring the Twins into a tie with the Indians for first in the AL Central. Phil Hughes struggled in his start, going four-and-two-thirds innings and allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks. Melky Cabrera and Matt Davidson combined to drive in five runs for the White Sox. Derek Holland exited after five innings for the White Sox, having let up seven runs (three earned) on six hits and four walks.

DENVER, CO– Carlos Gonzalez provided three RBI on two hits to help increase the Rockies lead in the NL West. Hyun-Jin Ryu lasted only four innings for the Dodgers after giving up 10 runs (five earned) on eight hits and six walks.
