Travis Harrison hit a grand slam and Dan Gamache hit a three-run home run as the Rochester Red Wings beat the Norfolk Tides 10–3 Wednesday afternoon in Sarasota, FL.
Harrison’s homer came in the 4th inning while Gamache added his in the 7th for the Red Wings (5–1–1). Quintin Berry, Jonathan Rodriguez and Gamache each had multi-hit games.
David Hurlbut surrendered one run on two hits and a walk with two strikeouts over 5.0 innings. D.J. Baxendale fired 2.0 innings with a pair of strikeouts and Alex Muren allowed two hits while fanning two, both in relief for the Wings.
Rochester hosts Durham in Ft. Myers on Thursday at 1 p.m.
