Section Five Roundup: Rayshawn Boswell leads Monroe

Monroe (8-11) 73
Rayshawn Boswell poured in 24 points, and Monroe snapped a three-game skid. Tyquil Glasgow added 21, and Chris Gibson had 20. Isaac Nelson hit four 3-pointers and scored 29 for Brighton. Boswell, an All-RCAC pick a year ago, scored his 1,000th career point last month.

Honeoye Falls-Lima (9-10) 44
Eastridge (1-17) 42
Tyler Selke connected four times behind the arc and paced HF-L with 16 points. Dan Hayes chipped in 11 points and six rebounds. David O’Connell had nine points and six rebounds. Owen VanNewkirk grabbed nine rebounds. Eastridge’s Kyndal Taggart scored a dozen in a losing effort. Robby Salisbury had 11.

Romulus (5-14) 64
Bragon Passmonte led Romulus with a 14-point, 14-rebound performance. Cameron Laskoski added 14 points as well, and Dan Lerch scored 10. Charlier Reitz paced Honeoye with 22 points.

Naples (10-8) 53
Red Jacket (10-9) 66
Daniel Brown poured in 27 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked three shots to pace Red Jacket. Lawrence Bombard added 14 points. Zach Dormer led Naples with 17 points. Jake Chapman had 13.

South Seneca (2-17) 40
Marcus Whitman (15-2) 69
Burlin Allen (10 points, 11 assists) and Riley McLoud (16 points, 10 rebounds) posted double-doubles to lead Marcus Whitman. Gavin McCumiskey added 11 points and eight rebounds. Nick Young had 16 points. Charlie Van Ness scored 10 for South Seneca.

Bolivar-Richburg (10-9) 50
Bolivar-Richburg’s Lewis Pettit and  Jacob Smith scored nine apiece.

Houghton (8-9) 71
Whitesville (4-14) 46
Micah Brooks netted 23, and Quinn Mastin had 24 to lead Houghton.  Tim Yao added 13.

Belfast (14-3) 50
Scio (10-8) 35
Adam Enders poured in 29 to lead Belfast.

Genesee Valley (11-8) 71
Andover (11-7) 47
Logan Glover scored 26, and Noah Windus chipped in 12 for Genesee Valley. Andover’s Patrick Austin had 12 points and Ethan Reynolds 10.

Friendship (1-16) 37
