CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Navy junior guard Shawn Anderson earned his first Patriot League The Rock Player of the Week honor of the season and the second of his career after scoring a career-high 30 points in a nationally-televised overtime victory over archrival Army West Point on Saturday afternoon. Anderson averaged 20.5 points per game last week, helping the Mids to five-consecutive League wins. He last earned the honor on January 11, 2016.
Colgate freshman forward Will Rayman earned his second-consecutive Patriot League The Rock Rookie of the Week and his third of the season, after averaging 14.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in a pair of Raiders victories last week. Rayman is second among Patriot League freshmen, averaging 15.0 points per game this season.
Colgate junior guard Sean O’Brien and Bucknell junior center Nana Foulland each earn honorable mention for the second-consecutive week. O’Brien averaged 18.0 points per game to help Colgate go 2-0 last week to even its League record at 4-4. Foulland also helped Bucknell go 2-0 last week, while also becoming the 40th player in program history to eclipse the 1,000-point mark. Holy Cross sophomore forward Karl Charles was selected to the honor roll after scoring a career-high 24 points on 8-of-10 shooting in a victory over Army last week.
PATRIOT LEAGUE MEN’S BASKETBALL THE ROCK PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Shawn Anderson, Navy, Jr., G, 6-4, New Castle, Pa.
Anderson scored a career-high 30 points in Navy’s overtime win over archrival Army West Point in Saturday’s CBS Sports Network-televised matchup. Anderson became the first Navy player in the Ed DeChellis era to score 30 points, while adding six rebounds, five assists and a steal. He also scored 11 points, five rebounds and dished out four assists in the Mids, 75-72 win over Lehigh on Wednesday night. He averaged 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists during a 2-0 week for a Navy team that has won its last five games.

Will Rayman, Colgate, Fr., F, 6-8, New York, N.Y./Millbrook School
Rayman earns his second-consecutive Patriot League Rookie of the Week honor and third of the season after averaging 14.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 42.9 percent from the floor during the Raiders’ 2-0 week. Rayman scored a team-high 21 points, hitting a career-high five 3-pointers, and pulled down four rebounds to help Colgate defeat Boston University, 67-58 on Wednesday evening. He added seven points, two rebounds and two assists in a comeback win over Loyola Maryland on Saturday. Rayman is tied for sixth in the League and second among freshmen, averaging 15.0 points per game.
WEEKLY HONORABLE MENTION
Sean O’Brien, Colgate, Jr., G, Lafayette Hill, Pa./Penn Charter
O’Brien averaged 18.0 points per game on 59.1 percent shooting to help Colgate go 2-0 last week. Against Boston University, O’Brien shot 6-of-11 from the floor, including 4-of-9 from 3-point range, to finish with 20 points in a 67-58 win. He finished with a team-high 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting in a 52-49 comeback win against Loyola Md. on Saturday. He scored six points during a game-deciding 12-2 rally against the Greyhounds.
Nana Foulland, Bucknell, Jr., C, 6-9, Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic
Foulland averaged 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game, while shooting 66.7 percent from the field in a 2-0 week for the Bison. Foulland matched his career-high with 23 points on 11-of-15 shooting, while pulling down six rebounds and blocking four shots in a 70-59 victory over Boston University on Saturday. He finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in Bucknell’s win over Loyola Md. on Wednesday night. Foulland became the 40th player in Bucknell history to record 1,000 career points and the 21st to achieve the feat in his third varsity season.
Karl Charles, Holy Cross, So., F, 6-6, Roselle, N.J.
Charles led Holy Cross with a career-high 24 points, shooting 8-of-10 from the floor and 6-of-6 from the free-throw line, in an 85-76 victory over Army West Point on Wednesday evening. With the Crusaders trailing late in the game, Charles hit back-to-back 3-pointers to put his team in front, a lead they would not relinquish.
