NEW YORK – Fresh off a buzzer-beating loss in Philadelphia, the Knicks (18-22) bounced back to beat the Bulls (19-21) to snap their three-game losing streak. Coming into play, New York had lost nine of their last 10 games.
Chicago, who sits last in the NBA in 3-point percentage, sank just three of their 18 attempts from downtown.
Carmelo Anthony scored 23 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and handed out six assists for the Knicks. Derrick Rose dropped 17 points against his former team. Joakim Noah played well against his former club as well, finishing with 12 points and 15 boards. Mindaugas Kuzminskas had a season-high 19 points.
Dwyane Wade netted 22 points for the Bulls.
NEW ORLEANS PELICANS 104 BROOKLYN NETS 95
BROOKLYN – Tyreke Evans dropped 29 points including 21 points in the second half to lead the Pelicans (16-24). Terrence Jones added a double-double – 24 points and 12 rebounds. Brook Lopez had 20 points and six boards for the struggling Nets (8-30). Sean Kilpatrick chipped in with 18 points and seven rebounds.
DENVER NUGGETS 140 INDIANA PACERS 112
LONDON – Nikola Jokic helped the Nuggets (15-23) defeat the Pacers (20-19) with 22 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Jameer Nelson (Saint Joseph’s) chipped in with 11 points off the bench.
SAN ANTONIO SPURS 134 LOS ANGELES LAKERS 94
SAN ANTONIO – Kawhi Leonard led a high-octane Spurs (31-8) offense with 31 points. Pau Gasol added 22 points on a perfect 9-of-9 from the field to go with nine rebounds and six assists. Julius Randle was the lone bright spot for the Lakers (15-28), finishing with 22 points, six boards and five dimes.
DALLAS MAVERICKS 113 PHOENIX SUNS 108
MEXICO CITY – Deron Williams showed flashes of his former self, finishing with 23 points and 12 assists for the Mavs (12-27). Harrison Barnes added 22 points. Dirk Nowitzki had 18 points. Devin Booker scored 39 points, including 29 in the fourth, for the Suns (12-27).
GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS 127 DETROIT PISTONS 107
OAKLAND – Kevin Durant paced the Warriors (34-6) with 25 points, nine assists and six rebounds. Stephen Curry dropped 24 points, dished out six dimes, and swiped five steals. Klay Thompson added 23 points. Marcus Morris had 21 points for the Pistons (18-23).
