Young floats in win for Pacers

Monday night’s NBA action.

Indiana Pacers 107  Washington Wizards 105

INDIANA — Thaddeus Young scored the game winner with 0.9 on the clock. Young took took the inbound, drove the left side of the lane and dropped a floater. He finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds on the night.

Young’s teammate, Paul George, scored four out of the last eight points to bring them to 105. Bradley Beal, who had 22 points, knocked down a jumper that was reviewed and called to tie the game at 105.

George led the way for the Pacers (15-14) with 27 points and nine rebounds. Myles Turner added 20 points  and grabbed eight rebounds. The Wizards (12-15) Martin Gortat added 21 points and grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds. Andrew Nicholson (St. Bonaventure) dropped six points and grabbed two rebounds in seven minutes of play off the bench. The loss snaps the Wizards three-game winning streak.

Chicago Bulls 113  Detroit Pistons 82

CHICAGO — Jimmy Butler collected 19 points, six assists and two steals as the Bulls (14-13) snapped a three-game losing streak. The Bulls had seven players in double figures. Jon Leuer came off the bench and paced the Pistons, which lost their third straight, with 16 points and five rebounds.

Atlanta Hawks 110  Oklahoma City Thunder 108

OKLAHOMA CITY — Paul Milsap registered a near triple-double (31 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds), and the Hawks (14-14) rebounded from a home loss to the Hornets. Mike Muscala (Bucknell) had a rebound and an assist in 11 minutes off the bench. The Thunders (16-12) Russell Westbrook dropped 46 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out seven assists.

Minnesota Timberwolves 115  Phoenix Suns 108 

MINNESOTA- Karl-Anthony Towns scored 28 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as the Timberwolves (8-19)  improved to 2-0 against the Suns (8-20) this season. The Suns dropped their third straight game. Eric Bledsoe had 27 points, three assists and two steals for Phoenix.

Denver Nuggets 117  Dallas Mavericks  107

DENVER- The Nuggets (12-16) pick up their third straight win Monday night, led by Nikola Jokic with 27 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists. Jameer Nelson (Saint Joseph’s) had three points, a rebound, an assist and a steal in 15 minutes played off the bench. Deron Williams netted 23 points and handed out eight assists for the Mavericks (7-21).
