NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Saint Louis’ Sadie Stipanovich was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week while St. Bonaventure freshman Jalisha Terry earned Rookie of the Week honors. The awards, announced Monday, were for games played Dec. 12–18.
Stipanovich posted a double-double in both games last week for the Billikens averaging 14.5 points and 13.5 rebounds while shooting 11-of-24 (.458) from the field. In a win over Washington State on Sunday, the senior from St. Louis, Mo., recorded 14 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. She was also a perfect 7-of-7 from the line for the week.
Terry had 13 points, four assists and two rebounds in a win over Albany on Sunday. The freshman from Flint, Mich., tied a career-high in assists and helped seal the victory by hitting four free throws in the final 90 seconds of the win. Terry has now scored in double-figures in six of her last seven contests.
Atlantic 10 Weekly Honor Roll
Davidson’s Mackenzie Latt tied her career high with a season-best 25 points and a team-high eight rebounds in Sunday’s win over Furman…Chassidy Omogrosso scored 19 points, tied a career-high with eight field goals and recorded a career-high six assists in Duquesne’s victory over Akron…Fordham’s G’Mrice Davis finished with a career-high 24 points and 18 rebounds in Fordham’s comeback victory over Manhattan…Richmond freshman Ragan Wiseman averaged 9.5 points for the week while making the first two starts of her collegiate career…St. Bonaventure’s Mariah Ruff had 16 points, five rebounds and six assists in Bona’s 67-59 win over Albany.
