CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – For the fourth time this season Lehigh senior center/forward Tim Kempton has been named The Rock Patriot League Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Kempton recorded his sixth double-double of the season in the Mountain Hawks victory over Saint Francis (Pa.) last week. Teammate and freshman forward Pat Andree was selected as the Rookie of the Week after shooting 10-of-12 from 3-point range in a victory over Saint Francis (Pa.) last week.
Boston University junior forward Cedric Hankerson makes the honor roll for the second-consecutive week, after hitting the eventual game-winner against New Hampshire on Sunday. Hankerson is joined as an honorable mention by Tyler Scanlon, who made his second start of the season in the Terriers’ win over the Wildcats. They are joined by Holy Cross senior forward Malachi Alexander, who eclipsed 1,000 career points during the Crusaders loss to Rhode Island on Sunday.

Kempton posted his sixth double-double of the season, scoring 21 points and pulling down 11 rebounds in the Mountain Hawks 100-67 victory over Saint Francis (Pa.) last Monday. Kempton also blocked a shot and had one steal to earn his fourth Patriot League Player of the Week honor of the season. Kempton is ninth in the nation in points per game (22.8) and 26th in the nation in rebounding (10.4).

Pat Andree, Lehigh, Fr., 6-8, F, Colts Neck, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy
Andree had a historic week, connecting on 10-of-12 3-pointers to finish with 30 points in the Mountain Hawks 100-67 win over Saint Francis (Pa.). His 10 made 3-pointers sets a program record and was one shy of the Patriot League record. It was also tied for the single-game high this season, coming in the fewest attempts of those that made 10 3-pointers. His 30 points is the most by a Lehigh freshman since C.J. McCollum in 2010.
WEEKLY HONORABLE MENTION
Cedric Hankerson, Boston University, Jr., 6-5, G, Miami, Fla./Coral Reef
Hankerson hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:12 remaining to help the Terriers defeat New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon. Hankerson finished with 13 points, five rebounds and two steals in the victory.
Malachi Alexander, Holy Cross, Sr., 6-7, Bowie, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt
Alexander led Holy Cross with 15 points, two rebounds, two steals and one blocked shot in a loss to Rhode Island on Sunday. He also became the 50th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point mark.
Tyler Scanlon, Boston University, Fr., 6-7, F, Chantilly, Va./Westfield
Scanlon scored five points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in his second career, helping Boston University defeat New Hampshire, 73-69 on Sunday.
