With 19 seconds remaining in regulation, Kentucky’s freshman guard Malik Monk drilled a three to put the Wildcats up by one, their final lead of the game.
Kentucky shot 54.1 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from three. UNC connected on 53 percent from the field and 52.9 percent from three.
Monk led the Wildcats with 47 points and freshman guard De’Aaron Fox added 24 points and 10 assists from a double-double. UNC’s leaders were junior forward Justin Jackson with 34 points and five rebounds, and junior guard Joel Berry II with 23 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
Kentucky improves to 10-1 and UNC drops to 10-2.

Sophomore guard Aaron Holiday was UCLA’s (12-0) top performer with 20 points, five steals and four rebounds, and senior forward Marc Loving topped Ohio State (8-3) with 19 points and six rebounds.

Frank Mason III led Kansas (10-1) with 18 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Peyton Aldridge, a junior forward, led Davidson (5-4) with 22 points and eight rebounds.

Baylor (10-0) was led by junior forward Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. with 17 points, six rebounds and five blocks. Jackson State’s (3-8) top scorer was sophomore Edric Dennis with 21 points.

Junior forward Kelan Martin paced Butler (10-1) in the win with 28 points and four rebounds. Indiana’s (8-2) leading scorer was junior guard James Blackmon Jr. with 26 points.
Sophomore center Thomas Bryant (Bishop Kearney) scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 29 minutes.

Junior guard Marcus Foster of Creighton (11-0) scored 22 points, with senior guard Maurice Watson Jr. added 13 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Junior center Albert Owens topped Oral Roberts (2-10) with 23 points and eight rebounds.

Sophomore guard Donovan Mitchell dropped 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Louisville (10-1), and sophomore forward Nick Mayo was the leading scorer for Eastern Kentucky (6-6) with 15 points, five rebounds and four assists.

West Virginia (9-1) saw its top player, junior guard Jevon Carter, put up 10 points, six assists and three rebounds, and UMKC (7-6) got a 14 point, four rebound and three assist game from senior guard LaVell Boyd.

Xavier’s (9-2) junior guard Trevon Bluiett dropped 20 points and seven rebounds, and sophomore guard Bryant Crawford led Wake Forest (8-3) with 20 points, with sophomore forward Josh Collins adding a double-double (12 points, 12 rebounds).
