BROOKLYN NETS 107 LOS ANGELES LAKERS 97
BROOKLYN – Luis Scola only scored two points, but those two gave the Nets (7-17) the lead for good with 7:15 left in the fourth quarter. The Argentine forward added five rebounds and three assists.
Brook Lopez added 20 points, including back-to-back baskets during an 11-2 run late in the fourth to help Brooklyn pull away. The Stanford product also grabbed seven boards.
The Lakers (10-18) had all the momentum after the third, as Larry Nance Jr. rose up over Lopez for the posterizing dunk in a quarter that saw Los Angeles outscore Brooklyn 33-23 to give them the slight 76-75 lead into the fourth. Lou Williams dropped a team-high 16 points.
Trevor Booker snatched a season-high 18 rebounds to help the Nets win the rebounding battle 61-49. Bojan Bogdanovic and Sean Kilpatrick finished with game-highs of 23 and 22 points, respectively.
The Lakers have lost eight straight games.
TORONTO RAPTORS 123 PHILADELPHIA 76ers 114
PHILADELPHIA – DeMar DeRozan put up a game-high 31 points to help the Raptors (18-7) earn their fourth straight victory. Kyle Lowry added 20 points and seven assists on 6-of-12 (5-0f-10 3PT) shooting. Robert Covington had 26 points and 12 rebounds for the Sixers (6-19).
WASHINGTON WIZARDS 109 CHARLOTTE HORNETS 106
WASHINGTON – John Wall had 25 points, 10 assists, seven steals and six rebounds to help the Wizards (10-14) pull out the victory. The first pick in 2010’s NBA Draft is now the all-time steals leader in Washington history. Nicolas Batum finished with 20 points, eight dimes, and five rebounds for the Hornets (14-12).
LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 113 ORLANDO MAGIC 108
ORLANDO – Austin Rivers hit seven of 10 three-pointers and finished with a team-high 25 points to lead the Clippers (19-7) to the road victory. DeAndre Jordan added 22 points and 12 rebounds. Aaron Gordon scored a career-high 33 points for the Magic (11-16).
MIAMI HEAT 95 INDIANA PACERS 89
MIAMI – Hassan Whiteside paced the Heat (9-17) with 26 points and 22 boards. Paul George scored 22 points for the Pacers (13-13).
MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES 93 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 85
MEMPHIS – Troy Daniels (VCU) dropped a game-high 20 points to help the Grizzlies (18-9) take advantage of a Cavs (18-6) team without LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love. Marc Gasol added a double-double – 17 points and 11 rebounds.
HOUSTON ROCKETS 132 SACRAMENTO KINGS 98
HOUSTON – James Harden‘s triple-double (15 points, 14 assists, 11 rebounds) helped lead the streaking Rockets (19-7) to their eighth-straight victory. Ryan Anderson dropped a game-high 22 points. Garrett Temple had 20 points for the Kings (9-16).
DETROIT PISTONS 95 DALLAS MAVERICKS 85
DALLAS – Reggie Jackson scored a game-high 20 points on 8-for-16 shooting to help the Pistons (14-13) get the victory. Andre Drummond grabbed 17 rebounds. Harrison Barnes scored 19 points for the Mavs (6-19).
UTAH JAZZ 109 OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER 89
SALT LAKE CITY – Rodney Hood led the Jazz (16-10) with 25 points on 9-for-14 shooting. Russell Westbrook scored a game-high 27 points for the Thunder (15-11).
SAN ANTONIO SPURS 108 BOSTON CELTICS 101
SAN ANTONIO – Kawhi Leonard dropped a game-high 26 points to lead the Spurs (20-5). Pau Gasol added 17 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists. Avery Bradley finished with a double-double – 25 points and 10 rebounds – along with six dimes, for the Celtics (13-12).
