Obi Enechionyia registered game-highs with 22 points and 12 as the Temple Owls knocked off a ranked opponent for the second time in as many days. Using full-court pressure, West Virginia erased a 20-point halftime deficit and took its first lead with 8:16 remaining in the game. Quinton Rose (Bishop Kearney) converted a pair of free throws with seven minutes remaining to give Temple (4-2) a lead it did not surrender. Rose finished with 12 points off the bench. The Owls defeated No. 25 Florida State on Thursday. West Virginia fell to 4-1.

Hassan Martin connected on 14 of 20 from the floor for a career-high 31 points to lead URI (5-1). Martin corralled five rebounds and blocked three shots. Jarvis Garrett hit 8 of 11 shots and finished with 23 for the Rams. Belmont (1-3) was playing without Evan Bradds, who led the nation in shooting percentage last season.

Malik Monk netted a career-high 26, and De’Aaron Fox chipped in 16. Kentucky improved to 6-0. Tennessee-Martin fell to 5-2.

All five UCLA starters topped double figures as the Bruins advanced to the finals of the Wooden Legacy. Bryce Alford scored 18. Lonzo Ball added 13 points and seven assists. UCLA will meet Texas A&M in Sunday’s championship.

Lourawls “TumTum” Nairn handed out 12 assists, and Michigan State (4-3) held off a late Shocker rally. Daishon Smith netted 13 off the bench including a jumper with 4:10 as Wichita State (5-2) cut an 18-point MSU lead to one.
