Quinton Rose (Bishop Kearney) came off the bench to lead Temple to a come-from-behind victory in the NIT Season Tip-Off. Rose netted a game-high 26 points on 6-of-16 shooting from the floor and 12-of-15 from the free throw line. The freshman collected six rebounds and four assists in the effort. The Owls erased a ten-point halftime deficit. Fellow freshman Shizz Alston Jr. scored 22 and dished out four assists.
No. 20 Baylor 73 No. 24 Michigan State 58
Johnathan Motley poured in 26 points and corralled six rebounds to lead Baylor to the championship game of the Battle 4 Atlantis. The 6-10 junior connected on 12 of 22 shots as the Bears improved to 5-0 on the season. Trailing by three, Motley scored four points during a 12-2 run to start the second half. Michigan State is 3-3. Baylor will play No. 10 Louisville in Friday’s championship game.

Louisville held Wichita State to 17 points in the first half en route to handing the Shockers their first loss of the season. Donovan Mitchell and Quentin Snider netted 14 points apiece for a Louisville team which shot just 19 of 52 (36.5 percent) from the floor. Shaquille Morris and Markis McDuffie both score 1o for the Shockers. Louisville will play No. 20 Baylor in the championship round of the Battle 4 Atlantis.

Freshman Lauri Markkanen netted 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Arizona advanced in the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational. The 7-0 forward from Jyvaskyla, Finland hit four of 11 from the floor including two of six from behind the arc. Kobi Simmons added 14 off the bench for the Wildcats. Dusan Ristic chipped in with 12 for the Wildcats. Santa Clara’s Jared Brownridge led all scorers with 25.
No 11 Gonzaga 82 Quinnipiac 62
Zach Collins and Johnathan Williams scored 13 apiece as Gonzaga advanced to the semi-finals of the Advocare Invitational. Leading by one with 4:25 remaining in the first half, Gonzaga outscored the Bobcats 11-4 going into the locker room before stretching the lead to 20 midway through the second half. Gonzaga will play Florida Friday night. Gonzaga is 4-0.
No. 14 UCLA 99 Portland 77
Lonzo Ball scored 18 and dished 11 dimes to lead UCLA into the semi-final of the Wooden Legacy Classic. Thomas Welsh added 16 and hauled in 10 rebounds for the Bruins which improved to 5-0. UCLA will play Nebraska in Friday’s semi-final.

Nathan Adrian scored 13 and grabbed eight rebounds to the lead the Mountaineers in the NIT Season Tip-Off. Jevon Carter scored 10 for West Virginia which led 49-28 at half.
No. 21 Iowa State 73 Indiana State 71
Matt Thomas connected on a three-pointer with 58 seconds remaining as Iowa State came from behind to advance in the Advocare Invitational. Monte Morris led the Cyclones with 20 points and nine rebounds. Loquarious Paige scored 20 for Indiana State. Iowa State will meet Miami in the semi-finals.
