Freshman guard Malik Monk was the top scorer for Kentucky with 23 points, but fellow freshman guard De’Aaron Fox was the team’s top performer with 16 points and 11 assists for a double-double. Sophomore guard Rob Edwards paced Cleveland State with 28 points and four rebounds. Kentucky moves to 5-0 and Cleveland State drops to 1-3.
No. 2 VILLANOVA 63 CHARLESTON 47
Villanova followed the lead of senior guard Josh Hart, who scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for a double-double. Charleston’s Jarrell Brantley, a sophomore forward, scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the team. Nova stays undefeated at 6-0 and Charleston is even at 3-3.
No. 4 NORTH CAROLINA 71 No. 16 WISCONSIN 56
UNC junior guard Joel Berry II led with 22 points, but senior forward Kennedy Meeks picked up 15 points and 16 rebounds for a double-double. Wisconsin’s redshirt sophomore forward Ethan Happ was the teams top performer with 13 points, six rebounds and four assists. UNC stays undefeated at 7-0 and Wisconsin falls to 4-2.
No. 6 DUKE 88 WILLIAM & MARY 67
With all starters in double digits for points, Duke’s top performer was graduate forward Amile Jefferson with a double-double, 15 points and 10 rebounds. William & Mary’s redshirt junior forward Jack Whitman and senior guard Daniel Dixon netted 13 apiece. Duke is now 5-1 and William & Mary is 2-2.
No. 10 LOUISVILLE 68 OLD DOMINION 62 in OT
Sophomore guard Donovan Mitchell scored 15 points, hauled in seven rebounds and seven steals to earn the top performance for Louisville. Old Dominion’s sophomore guard BJ Stith registered a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Louisville goes to 4-0 and Old Dominion drops to 2-1.
No. 13 OREGON 79 UCONN 69
The Ducks win featured a 21-point, five-rebound performance from senior forward Chris Boucher. UConn sophomore guard Jalen Adams topped the team with 27 points, along with five assists. Oregon is 4-2 and UConn drops to 2-4 of the season.
No. 17 PURDUE 96 AUBURN 71
Purdue saw two players with double-doubles: sophomore Caleb Swanigan with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and junior center Isaac Haas with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman forward Daniel Purifoy’s 22 points led the Auburn offense in scoring. Both teams now sit at 4-1 this year.
No. 20 BAYLOR 71 VCU 63
Baylor’s junior forward Johnathan Motley picked up 19 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. VCU was led by junior guard JeQuan Lewis with 21 points, five assists and three steals. Baylor moves to 4-0, while VCU takes its first loss of the season and is 3-1.
No. 24 MICHIGAN STATE 73 ST. JOHN’S 62
Freshman guard Miles Bridges posted a 22 point, 15 rebound night to lead Michigan State with a double-double. Redshirt freshman guard Marcus LoVett scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds to pace St. John’s. Michigan State is now 3-2 and St. John’s is 2-2.
SOUTH CAROLINA 61 No. 25 MICHIGAN 46
Senior guard Sindarius Thornwell dropped a double-double for South Carolina with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Michigan’s Derrick Walton Jr., a senior guard, netted 15 points to drive Michigan. South Carolina jumps to 5-0 and Michigan falls to 4-1.

Graduate forward Chinonso Obokoh (Bishop Kearney) collected two points, three rebounds and three blocks.

Freshman forward Anthony Lamb (Greece Athena) chipped in with seven points, three rebounds and one assist.

Sophomore guard Dontay Caruthers (East High School) finished with four points, five rebounds and two assists.

Junior guard Antwoine Anderson (Bishop Kearney) scored nine points and grabbed two rebounds.
