Tyler Nelson, Fairfield

Nelson averaged 25.5 points per game in a 2-0 week for the Stags, including a career-high 28 points in victory at Dartmouth. The junior followed with a 25-point performance in an overtime win at Wagner, including the go ahead points in the extra period. Nelson made 10 of 11 free throws against the Seahawks , including 7 for 7 in the second half and overtime. He shot 51.6 percent from the floor and 33 percent from three-point range and 84 percent from the line for the week. He also posted two assists and two steals on the week.
Rookie of the Week
Aaron Walker Jr., Manhattan
Fr., 6-2, G, Brooklyn, NY/Cardozo
Scored in double-figures in all three games last week en route to averaging 12.3 ppg and 3.3 rpg over just 19.0 minutes each time out. Shot 41.9 percent (13-of-31) from the floor, including 50.0 percent (3-of-6) from deep, and 80.0 percent (8-of-10) from the line. Began his big week with 10 points and four rebounds against Winthrop (11/15). Followed that up with a career-high 15 points in 80-68 win over Hofstra (11/18) in his first career start. Also pulled down six rebounds and was 5-for-11 in just 20 minutes of action. Capped his big week with 12 points at Temple (11/20). On the year, is second on the team in scoring (11.3 ppg) and third in rebounding (4.0 rpg)
