Duke’s Amile Jefferson netted 17 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Luke Kennard led all scorers with 24 as the Blue Devils prevailed in the Naismith Memorial Hall-of-Fame Tipoff. All five Duke starters scored in double figures. Jared Terrell scored 22 for URI.
NO. 2 KENTUCKY vs. DUQUESNE
De’Aaron Fox led five in double with 16 points. UK’s freshman guard added six assists and seven rebounds as the Wildcats improved to 5-0. Duquesne’s Emile Blackman finished with 13 points.
NO. 3 VILLANOVA vs. UCF
Mikal Bridges paced Villanova to the Charleston Classic championship with 10 points, four assists, three steals, one block and five rebounds. Senior Josh Hart added 15 points for the Wildcats. UCF;s Tacko Fall finished with 20 points on 10-of-10 shooting from the floor to go with 13 rebounds.
NO. 8 VIRGINIA 62 YALE 38
Marial Shayok scored 15 points off the bench for the Cavs. The junior guard hit six of 14 shots as UVA improved to 3-0 on the season.
NO. 11 XAVIER 67 NORTHERN IOWA 59
Tournament MVP Trevon Bluiett finished with 20 points and eight rebounds to lead Xavier to the Tire Pros championship. Edmond Sumner scored 11 of his 17 points in the second half on 4-of-6 shooting coming out of the locker room. Xavier improved to 5-0.

Eron Harris led the Spartans with 31 points on 10 of 15 shooting from the floor including a perfect six for six from behind the three-point arc.
NO. 16 UCLA 114 LONG BEACH STATE 77
Lonzo Ball finished with 20 points and 11 assists to lead UCLA to a 4-0 start on the season.
NO. 19 WEST VIRGINIA 100 NEW HAMPSHIRE 44
Esa Ahmad led six Mountaineers in double figures with 14. West Virginia collected 19 steals and forced 34 turnovers.
NO. 20 IOWA STATE 120 THE CITADEL 63
Monte Morris registered a triple-double with 17 points, 10, rebounds and 10 assists as the Cyclones improved to 3-0 on the season.
NO. 22 CREIGHTON vs. NORTH CAROLINA STATE
Cole Huff led as Creighton advanced to the championship game of the Paradise Jam with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Creighton improved to 4-0 on the season.
NO. 24 CINCINNATI 71 PENN STATE 50
Kyle Washington led the Bearcats with 16 points and 17 rebounds in the consolation of the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame Tipoff.
