Bobby Guilfoil netted the game winner in the 68th minute, and Fairport won its third AA title in four year. Pete Critchlow gave the Red Raiders a 1-nil advantage going into halftime. Luke Piazza struck for the equalizer in the second half. Fairport advances to the Far West Regional to play Clarence (VI).
Class A Qualifier
Greece Athena 2 Honeoye Falls-Lima 1
CJ Takatch and Cameron Welling connected on first-half tallies as Athena avenged a loss to HF-L in last year’s regional qualifier. Ryan Lindeman and Dylan Rice chipped in assists for the winners. Parker Hotchkiss scored HF-L’s goal with an assist from Luis Playa. Athena will Grand Island (VI) Friday night, 7:30 p.m.
Class C Qualifier
World of Inquiry 5 Marion 0
Toyi Hakizimana scored once and assisted on two goals to lead WOI back to the regionals. Ayub Jeylani found back of the net twice for WOI which took a 2-0 lead into the locker room at halftime. James Weh added a goal and an assist. Frankie Santiago gave WOI a 1-nil advantage in the 25th minute. Miguel Lopez chipped in with two assists. WOI will play Allegany-Limestone (VI) Friday, 5:00 p.m.
Class D Qualifier
Alfred-Almond 5 C.G. Finney 1
Jake Johnston netted a hat trick, and Cory Olix provided three assists as Alfred-Almond advanced to play Pine Valley (VI) in the Far West Regional. Jacob Lawrow and Gabe Empson both scored a goal, and Brady Holmok added an assist.
