PHILADELPHIA – The 2016-17 La Salle men’s basketball schedule is complete with the release of the 18-game Atlantic 10 slate, which was announced by the conference.
It was also announced that the game against defending national champion Villanova on December 6 at the Palestra will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Tip-off is set for 7 PM.
The Explorers will play at least 11 games on national television this season, with five airing on CBS Sports Network and another two on the NBC Sports Network. Three will air nationally on the American Sports Network, with local clearances to be announced at a later date.
It was also announced that the Georgetown contest in Miami will tip-off at 2 PM. Television exposure for that game will be announced later this month.
The Atlantic 10 schedule begins with a road trip to Dayton on December 30. That game will air nationally on CBS Sports Network at 6 PM.
Two home games versus Saint Louis (January 4) and Duquesne (January 7, ASN) start the new year followed by a road trip to Rhode Island on January 12. The URI contest will be televised nationally on the CBS Sports Network.
La Salle returns home on January 15 to host reigning NIT champion George Washington at 4:30 PM on NBC Sports Network. The national exposure continues with CBS Sports Network on January 19 when Davidson visits Tom Gola Arena.
Next up is a road trip to VCU on January 22 (NBCSN). After a Big 5 tilt versus Penn on January 25, the Blue and Gold will make the short trek to Saint Joseph’s on January 28 to play the Hawks on ASN.
February starts by hosting Massachusetts on February 1 before back-to-back road trips to George Mason (February 4) and Fordham (February 8). La Salle returns to Gola Arena to host Richmond on February 11 before hitting the road again to visit St. Bonaventure on February 15.
Saint Joseph’s arrives at Gola Arena on February 18 for a nationally-televised game on CBSSN. La Salle will then host Rhode Island on February 21 on CBSSN before making the trip to UMass on February 26 on ASN.
Saint Louis (March 1, away) and Fordham (March 4, home) round out the schedule.
The Atlantic 10 Tournament moves to Pittsburgh’s CONSOL Energy Center this year from March 8-12.
The league-wide schedule boasts a league-record number of television appearances (208), total games (108) and conference games (87).
Season tickets are now on sale with new competitive pricing and perks.
Purchasing a season ticket is the only way to guarantee tickets to the highly-anticipated Villanova game. That game will be priced at $50 to the public but will be included as part of the season ticket plan for $35. It is currently only available via a season ticket.
A VIP seat is $350 and requires an additional $500 donation per two seats. The gold package is $275 while the blue package is $200. Both plans feature a $60 discount off single game prices.
For faculty/staff and recent graduates (2012-16), the gold ($175) and blue ($125) packages are both significantly discounted.
In addition to the discount and Villanova access, all season ticket holders receive a buy one, get one voucher for the Atlantic 10 Tournament in Pittsburgh from March 8-12.
All new season ticket holders will also receive a free Under Armour hat (one per seat).
