NEW YORK – Xavier women’s basketball’s Briana Glover was named the All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention Team on Wednesday morning. The senior forward picks up all-conference honors for the first time in her career.
The Mason, Ohio, native is averaging 11 points and 4.2 rebounds per game this season, while leading the team in both free-throw percentage (.838) and field-goal percentage (.498). She ranks first in the BIG EAST in free-throw percentage and fifth in field-goal percentage.
Glover has scored in double figures 16 times this season, including three 20-point performances. She scored a career-high 27 points at Providence on Jan. 10.
Glover was tabbed to the All-BIG EAST Preseason Team earlier this season and earned All-BIG EAST Academic Honors in 2013-14.
The Musketeers return to action in the opening round of the BIG EAST Tournament on Saturday, March 5 at DePaul’s McGrath-Phillips Arena in Chicago. No. 8 seed Xavier takes on No. 9 seed Butler at 5:30 p.m. ET.
