NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Saint Louis sophomore Jackie Kemph was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week while Duquesne freshman Kadri-Ann Lass earned the league’s Rookie of the Week honors. The awards were announced Monday for games played Feb. 15-21.
Kemph averaged a double-double of 19.7 points and 11.1 assists last week as the Billikens recorded victories over Davidson, Duquesne and Fordham. The Arlington Heights, Ill., native shot 18-of-36 (.500) from the field and 21-of-23 (.913) from the free throw line and had a 3.67-to-1 assist to turnover ratio for the week. Against Davidson on Monday, Kemph had 19 points, 14 assists and two steals, followed by a 19-point, 13-assist performance against Duquesne Thursday. In Sunday’s game on the road against Fordham she had 21 points, six rebounds and four assists and made the game-winning shot with 2.2 seconds on the clock to defeat the Rams.
Lass averaged 10.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks on 9-of-20 (.450) shooting from the field in a 1-1 week for the Dukes. Against Saint Louis she had six points, seven rebounds and four blocks. In Sunday’s overtime win over Dayton she was 6-of-11 (.545) from the field with 14 points, five rebounds and two steals.

Duquesne’s Deva’Nyar Workman averaged a double-double of 19.0 points and 13.0 rebounds last week. She scored 24 points against Saint Louis and had 14 points and 19 rebounds in an overtime win against Dayton … George Washington’s Hannah Schaible averaged 14.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game and shot 46.2 percent (12-26) from the floor in two games last week … Amy Griffin scored a career-high 33 points in La Salle’s 75-70 win over Saint Joseph’s on Wednesday. She scored seven points in the final 42 seconds to help the Explorers seal the victory and eclipse her previous career-high of 31 points … Cierra Dillard led UMass to a pair of wins over Dayton and at Davidson this past week averaging 24 points and 3.5 rebounds. She recorded 25 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals in the win over Dayton at home on Wednesday and followed with 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting against Dayton … Massachusetts’ freshman Bria Stallworth averaged 13.5 points on 10-of-29 shooting last week, and was 6-of-11 from the 3-point range … Rhode Island’s Charise Wilson averaged 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.5 steals over two games last week. She broke Rhode Island’s single-season record for 3-pointers against VCU and now has 70 for the year … Richmond’s Janelle Hubbardscored 29 points against George Mason, shooting 7-of-11 from 3-point range … Katie Healy averaged 23.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting over 57 percent from the floor this week to lead St. Bonaventure to victories over league-leading George Washington and La Salle this week. She scored 16 of her points against GW during the second half as the Bonnies rallied from 17 points down to pick up the overtime victory … Saint Joseph’s Kathleen Fitzpatrick averaged 19.0 points per game over two games last week. She recorded a career-high 26 points in the victory over Rhode Island on Saturday … VCU’s Curteeona Brelove recorded 15 points and grabbed six boards against Rhode Island and recorded her third double-double of the season (17 points, 11 rebounds) against George Washington.
