Saint Joseph’s senior Isaiah Miles has been named the Big 5 Player of the Week for Feb. 15, and for the third time this season.
Miles averaged 20.0 pts and 8.5 rebounds the Hawks’ wins over George Washington and La Salle, while shooting 58.3 percent (14-24) from the field, 50 percent from three-point range (6-12) and 85.7 percent (6-7) from the foul line.
The forward posted a game-high 21 points and nine rebounds in the 84-66 road win over George Washington, while connecting on 8-for-12 from the field.
He followed that with a team-high 18 points and eight rebounds in the 88-62 Big 5 win over La Salle Miles hit 6-of-12 field goal attempts and 3-of-6 three-pointers, while converting 4-for-5 from the foul line as the Hawks ran their record to 21-4 and 10-2 in the Atlantic 10.
Miles is the Hawks’ leading scorer and rebounder, with 17.5 points per game and 8.2 rebounds.
Saint Joseph’s, which has won 10 of its last 11 games, hosts nationally-ranked Dayton on Wednesday night at Hagan Arena. The game will be televised nationally by the CBS Sports Network at 6 p.m.
