CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — The Patriot League announced Thursday that the Boston University at Bucknell men’s basketball contest has been selected to air on CBS Sports Network as part of the League’s television package. The game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 21 at Noon EST.
Bucknell has the lead in the Patriot League race with a 10-3 record, but Boston University has won five straight games to improve to 8-5 in League action and join Navy and Lehigh in a tie for second place in the standings.
The teams met for the first time this season on Jan. 23 when Bucknell rallied from a 17-point deficit for a 74-71 victory at Boston University. The Bison have won the last four meetings against the Terriers, and will try to sweep the season series from BU for the second year in a row. Chris Hass leads the Bison and stands third in the Patriot League with 17.1 points per game, while Boston University’s top scorer is Eric Fanning at 15.0 points per game, good for fifth in the League.
The rest of the Patriot League contests on Feb. 21 include Loyola at Colgate, Lehigh at Lafayette and American at Holy Cross while the Army West Point at Navy game will be played on Feb. 20 at 1:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
The next Patriot League game on CBS Sports Network comes on Monday when Holy Cross visits Lehigh at 7:30 p.m. EST. There will be another flex game to close the regular season on Feb. 27 at Noon EST. Coverage on CBS Sports Network will continue in the postseason with the Patriot League Tournament semifinals on March 6 (Noon and 2 p.m. EST) as well as the Patriot League Championship on March 9 at 7:30 p.m. EST.
