The Patriot League turns the corner and heads into the second half of conference play with the Bucknell Bison (8-1) leading the way. Colgate (6-3) and Navy (6-2) look to start new winning streaks. Here’s the weekend guide:
Lehigh (6-13/4-4) at Boston (11-11/4-5) Noon Sunday CBS Sports Network
Lehigh took the first matchup of the year at Boston 81-73. Tim Kempton scored 22 and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win – one of the junior forward’s four double-doubles on the season. Lehigh is 2-2 on the season when Kempton puts double figures in two columns. Austin Price paces Lehigh with 45 3-pointers. The Mountain Hawks lead the PL hitting 42.6 percent from long range. The Terriers are third in the conference forcing 14 turnovers a game. Eric Fanning scores 14.1 points. BU is 7-5 when their leading scorer reaches double figures. Nathan Dieudonne leads the Patriot League with 9.8 rebounds a game.
OTHER GAMES
Navy (15-6/6-2) at Holy Cross (8-12/3-6) 1 p.m. Saturday
Navy took the earlier matchup between the two, 66-60. Mids look to return to their winning after a loss to American snapped a six-game streak.
American (4-15/2-6) at Colgate (10-10/6-3) 2 p.m. Saturday
American looks to win its third in a row. Colgate, which had a four-game streak snapped last time out, beat American 56-37 on January 3rd.
Army West Point (12-8/3-5) at Bucknell (11-9/8-1) 7 p.m. Saturday
Bucknell has won three straight. The Bison won the first meeting 84-76.
Lafayette (5-14/2-6) at Loyola (5-14/4-4) 7 p.m. Saturday
Loyola won at Lafayette 81-78 on January 2nd. Lafayette looks to snap a three-game skid.
