PHILADELPHIA – La Salle redshirt junior Jordan Price (Decatur, Ga. / Auburn) has been named the Philadelphia Big 5 Co-Player of the Week, it was announced today. He shares the award with Villanova’s Josh Hart.
Price averaged 19.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game in two contests for the Explorers this week. His all-around game against #25 Dayton, which included 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists, helped the Explorers defeat the Flyers. He also scored the 1,000th point of his collegiate career in the game with a three-pointer in the second half.
On Wednesday, Price led the Blue and Gold with 21 points and nine rebounds at Fordham. He played 78 of 80 minutes for the Explorers in two games.
Price is currently 13th in the nation in scoring at 22.2 ppg. and second in the Atlantic 10. He is one of four players in the nation that is averaging at least 22.0 ppg., 5.0 rpg., and 3.0 apg.
The Explorers travel to Richmond on Wednesday for at 7 PM tip-off. The game will be broadcast on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia.
