Saturday was a bit of an anomaly in the West Coast Conference, as each game was decided by more than ten points. Despite the relatively lopsided scorelines, there still were many story lines at play, including a record-breaking performance in the BYU-Loyola Marymount contest and Gonzaga again struggling to put away a Bay Area team on the road. Here’s a complete look at a crowded Saturday’s WCC results.

No. 2 Gonzaga 81 San Francisco 70
The Bulldogs pulled away from USF late in the second half at War Memorial Gym. After the score was knotted 38-38 at halftime, the Zags were able to pull away from the Dons with an 11-1 run in the second half, keyed by a pair of three-pointers from Kyle Wiltjer, who finished with 29 points. USF had a 9-2 run of their own to make it dicey for the visitors, but Gonzaga was able to finish the Dons off at the free-throw line. San Francisco has now lost five straight.

BYU 87 Loyola Marymount 68
In Los Angeles, Kyle Collinsworth recorded his fifth triple-double of the 2014-15 season, setting a new NCAA record. Collinsworth had 23 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in a victory for the Cougars, who delivered head coach Dave Rose his 250th career win. Tyler Haws, the WCC’s leadng scorer, had 22 points for BYU.

San Diego 72 Pepperdine 50
After consecutive wins against Saint Mary’s and BYU, Pepperdine struggled to find a rhythm against San Diego, who came away with a 22 point road win in Malibu. Pepperdine shot just 34 percent from the field while the Toreros used double-digit scoring performances from Johnny Dee, Chris Sabaugh, Christopher Anderson and Thomas Jacobs to pull away from the Waves.  Anderson and Jito Kok entered the record books at San Diego, with the former setting a new career steals mark and the latter tying the career blocks mark.

Portland 74 Santa Clara 54
Portland completed the road sweep of Bay Area teams, easily cruising past Santa Clara. Thomas van der Mars had a double-double for the Pilots (16 points, 12 rebounds) while Kevin Bailey and Bryce Pressley each chipped in 16 points of their own. Santa Clara got as close as nine in the second half, but Portland held SCU scoreless for the next 5:30 to seal the win. The Pilots shot 62 percent from the field, a season-high mark.

Saint Mary’s 73 Pacific 58
In a battle between travel partners, Saint Mary’s got back into the win column with a victory at home over Pacific. Desmond Simmons had his first career double-double (14 points, 11 rebounds) while Brad Waldow, Kerry Carter and Emmett Narr all scored in double figures. The Gaels were without Aaron Bright, who was nursing an ankle injury. T.J. Wallace had a game high 20 points for Pacific, who have now lost five straight.

They Said It
“Kyle has an unbelievable game that sets a record, that is absolutely amazing. I hope we’re not to the point where that’s how he needs to play in order for us to be successful. I love that he’s on it, he’s doing it, but hopefully we can grow a little bit and we need to take those types of efforts and use them to continue winning.” – BYU Head Coach Dave Rose
