Results from Saturday’s West Coast Conference men’s basketball.

No. 7 Gonzaga was back in action on Saturday night at Portland’s Chiles Center. In addition, BYU traveled to San Francisco and Saint Mary’s took on Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles.  Elsewhere, San Diego and Santa Clara did battle in Silicon Valley while Pacific and Pepperdine dueled in Malibu.  Here is a look at the entire WCC slate as the second weekend of conference action came to a close.

No. 7 Gonzaga 87 Portland 75

Portland trimmed a Gonzaga lead that was once 21 to just five with 1:58 to play. Kevin Pangos and Przemek Karnowski had 21 each for the Zags.

BYU 99 San Francisco 68

The Cougars dominated the Dons as Kyle Collinsworth recorded a triple-double (12 pts,12 rebs,10 assists) and Tyler Haws pitched in 22 pts.

Saint Mary’s 72 Loyola Marymount 63

Aaron Bright was prolific from behind the arc, recording six three-pointers (24 pts total), as SMC (4-0 WCC) pulled away from LMU (0-3 WCC).

Santa Clara 59 San Diego 56

Johnny Dee became the Toreros’ all-time scoring leader (1,808 pts) but Brandon Clark sealed an SCU victory with four clutch free throws in the final minutes.

Pepperdine 71 Pacific 61

Stacy Davis led all scorers with 21, including his 1,000th career point. Waves shot 89% at line while Tigers mustered just 56%.
