Counting down to tipoff and previewing the incoming freshmen of the Patriot League with a look at the first-year players of the Navy Midshipmen.
The Midshipmen finished 9-21 (4-14 PL) and fell to Colgate in first round play of the 2014 PL tournament.
Ed DeChellis and his staff welcome six freshmen to the lineup: Shawn Anderson, Bryce Dulin, Nourse Fox, Jace Hogan, Tom Lacey, and Daniel Noe.
Shawn Anderson Fr. G 6-4, 204 New Castle, PA/ New Castle
Earned three letters playing basketball at New Castle High School, where he graduated in 2013.
• A Pennsylvania Class AAAA all-state first team honoree as a senior in 2013.
• Averaged 20.2 points as a senior with 7.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
• Was ranked second in Lawrence County in scoring as a senior.
• A Pennsylvania Class AAA all-state third team selection as a junior in 2012.
• Earned league and section MVP honors in 2012.
• Led team to a league championship and a 29-1 record as a senior.
• Led team to a 28-1 and league title as a junior.
• New Castle became the first team in the league to win district titles with then-unbeaten records in back-to-back years.
• Helped team to a 57-2 record in his final two seasons.
• New Castle was 20-8 and won a sectional title in 2011 during his sophomore season.
• Scored over 1,000 career points at New Castle.
• Named the top combo guard in his class by the Pittsburgh Basketball Report in 2013.

Bryce Dulin Fr. G 6-4, 192 Nixa, MO/ Nixa
• Earned three letters in basketball at Nixa High School, where he graduated in 2014.
• Helped team to a pair of district titles.
• Helped team win a pair of conference titles.
• Earned all-conference and all-district honors in 2014 and helped team to a 16-5 record.
• Named to the Academic All-State team in 2014.
• Averaged 11.0 points and 3.7 rebounds as a junior, while shooting 64 percent from the field.
• Received second-team all-district honors in 2013.
• Played high school basketball with Austin Ruder (Missouri State).
• Played AAU basketball for Yanders Law.
• Member of student council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Athletic Leadership Council and Green Team.
Nourse Fox Fr. G 6-0, 194 Memphis, TN/ Memphis University School
• Earned three letters in basketball at Memphis University School, where he graduated in 2013.
• Two-time Tennessee All-State honoree.
• Three-time all-city honoree.
• Three-time team captain.
• Won a Real Deal in the Rock championship in 2012 with his AAU team, M33M.
• Former AAU teammate with the M33M and Memphis YOMCA programs with Jarnell Stokes (Tennessee/Memphis Grizzlies), Shaq Goodwin (Memphis), Austin Nichols (Memphis), Demetrius Dyson (UMass) and Josh Jones (Richmond).
• Also recruited by Belmont.
• Lettered in football once and soccer once at Memphis University School.
• Attended the Naval Academy Preparatory School during the 2013-14 academic year.
Jace Hogan Fr. F 6-6, 217 Melbourne, FL/ Holy Trinity
• Graduated from Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in 2014.
• Scored 621 points as a senior, setting his school’s single-season scoring record.
• Averaged 25.3 points and 12.2 rebounds as a senior and led his team to a district and regional championship.
• Scored a school-record 48 points in win over Lake Highland Prep as a senior.
• Scored 1,062 points in the two seasons he played at Holy Trinity.
• Helped Holy Trinity to a 47-11 record over his last two seasons.
• Led team to a 23-5 record as a junior and 24-6 as a senior.
• Selected to the Class 4A All-State Second Team in 2014 by the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches (FABC) and the FACA All-Star Team.
• Named the Florida Today Player of the Year for Brevard County in 2014.
• Named to the All-Space Coast Boys First Team in 2014.
• Was tabbed as the District 4A Player of the Year in 2014 and the 3A Player of the Year in 2013.
• Earned 3A All-State honors in 2013.
• Played at Palm Bay during his freshman and sophomore seasons.

Tom Lacey Fr. F 6-7, 225 Glenn Ridge, NJ/ Seton Hall Prep
• Earned three letters at Seton Hall Prep, where he graduated in 2013.
• Won New Jersey North A State Championships in 2011 and 2012.
• Won three Essex County Championships from 2011-13.
• Earned all-county first-team honors in 2013.
• Averaged 12.9 points and 5.6 rebounds as a senior.
• Played high school basketball with Spencer Weisz (Princeton).
• Played AAU ball with Sports University.
• Attended the Naval Academy Preparatory School during the 2013-14 academic year.
What they’re saying about Tom Lacey – Jay Gomes/ NJHoops.com: “He’s a kid who came on kind of late. Good size and athleticism. He played for a good high school and AAU program. He’s a pretty good leaper with a nice stroke from 3-pt. range. He’s versatile kid who can probably play a few different positions for Navy.”

Daniel Noe Fr. G 6-5, 210 Fairfax, VA/ Bishop Ireton
• Earned three letters in basketball at Bishop Ireton, where he graduated in 2014.
• Selected to the All-Virginia Independent Schools All-State Second Team as a senior.
• Named to the All-WCAC First Team as a senior and the All-WCAC Second Team as a junior.
• Received All-WCAC Honorable Mention honors as a sophomore.
• Three-time team captain.
• Made 59 3-pointers and scored 14.8 points per game during his senior season.
• Led Bishop Ireton to an 18-13 record as a senior.
• Received honorable mention All-Met honors as a senior and was named to the DMVeliite All-Nova Second Team.
• Tabbed as his team’s MVP during his junior season.
• As a junior, scored 16 points to lead eighth-seeded Bishop Ireton to a 67-58 win over top-seeded Gonzaga in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) quarterfinals.
• It was the first time an eight seed ever defeated the No. 1 seed in WCAC playoff history.
• Played his freshman season at W.T. Woodson High School.
• Received All-Defensive Team honors from his conference as a freshman.
