CINCINNATI – Xavier University celebrates Opening Night for the 2014-15 season on Friday, Nov. 14 at Cintas Center. The regular season opener against Northern Arizona highlights the Opening Night festivities.
Xavier University has added the final three teams on the 2014-15 men’s basketball non-conference home schedule, which are actually the first three games on the 2014-15 schedule. The season begins with a four-game homestand but nothing beats the anticipation of the regular season opener.
Long Beach State visits XU on Tuesday, Nov. 18. The Musketeers host Stephen F. Austin on Friday, Nov. 21. SFA finished 32-3 last season overall, going undefeated in the Southland Conference regular season and winning the conference tournament. SFA won 29 straight games, including a win over VCU in the NCAA Tournament Second Round, before losing to UCLA in the NCAA Third Round. The fourth game on the season-opening homestand is the previously-announced Murray State game onMonday, Nov. 24.
Xavier previously announced non-conference home games included Alabama, Murray State and Florida Gulf Coast and road games at Missouri, Auburn and Cincinnati. The exhibition game will be played on Saturday, Nov. 8.
Xavier will play three games in the Wooden Legacy in California over Thanksgiving Weekend. ESPN will officially announce the field for that tournament later this month.
Season tickets include all 17 home games and start as low as $200, or only $12 per game. Fans can place a $100 per seat deposit now to guarantee the first opportunity to select new seats prior to the general public on-sale date in July. Season tickets go on sale July 7.
