BATAVIA, N.Y. — A series of defensive miscues proved to be their undoing as the Monroe Community College Tribunes (17-14/2-4) gave away a pair of decisions (4-3/8-6) to the Genesee Community College Cougars (3-15/2-4) in WNYAC action, Thursday.

Hopkins and Brett Sanders (Greece, N.Y./Greece Olympia) brought home runs in the fifth and sixth, but Genesee used three MCC errors in the sixth to take an 8-4 advantage into the seventh.
