PHILADELPHIA (11/28/12) – Men’s basketball coach Fran Dunphy announced today that two talented student-athletes from the state of New Jersey — Josh Brown out of St. Anthony’s High and Kyle Green out of Camden Catholic High – have signed National Letters of Intent to attend Temple University.

“We are excited to add these fine young men to the Temple Basketball family,” said Dunphy. “They are both upstanding citizens who come from wonderful families.  We are looking forward to great things from them, both on the court and in the classroom, during their Temple careers.”

A 6-3 guard, Brown averaged nine points, five rebounds and four assists last season playing in a back court that included UCLA freshman Kyle Anderson.  During his career the Irvington, N.J., native has helped lead the heralded program to a 65-0 record and back-to-back New Jersey Tournament of Champions titles.

A 6-5 guard, Green led South Jersey in scoring with a 22.7 point average as a junior last season.  The Woodbury Heights, N.J. native enters his final season at Camden Catholic with 1,163 career points and likely will become the program’s all-time leading scorer upon graduation.

Temple (3-0) plays at Buffalo (2-5) tonight at 7:30 p.m.  The game will be televised live by Comcast SportsNet and broadcast by 1210 AM WPHT.
