RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Manhattan locked in its seventh nationally televised men’s basketball contest this season. The Jaspers home match up against Stony Brook on Jan. 1 has been added to the ESPN family of networks’ broadcast schedule. Manhattan will partner directly with ESPN3 to air the game live from Riverdale at 2 p.m. The partnership was made possible through the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s (MAAC) broadcast agreement with the ESPN.
Draddy Gymnasium is now scheduled to play host to five national broadcasts during the 2012-13 men’s basketball season. There is a possibility a sixth home broadcast will be added during the MAAC’s wildcard weekend. Manhattan’s game with Fairfield on March 1 could be selected as one of the league’s two televised games for either ESPN2 or ESPNU.
