    Hope some of you catch this as it is last week’s Open Thread.

    Received this in an email from my son. Thought you might enjoy it.

    hymn by Robert Gutierrez

    An Irish Blessing (cue the cheesy Braveheart-ish music)

    May the haters rise up to meet you.
    May the the overrated be always at your back.
    May the Sunshine State be warm upon your face;
    the ranked fall hard upon your fields
    and until we me meet again,
    May Teo hold the game ball in the palm of his hands.

    (rob called this a hymn if you’re wondering where that came from)

    And this, from a friend of my daughter’s:

    And then on the Sixth Day God said, “I give you Baylor and Stanford victories. They will be yours for an unchallenged BCS #1 standing. And it was so. Because his Mother loves Notre Dame. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.

    True Story.

    BTW, the Lord and Mary figure for Divine Intervention to continue they must test us to be sure that we will not get caught up in silly superstitions such as the SI cover jinx. We survived that jinx once with Manti Te’o. It’s being taken care of. Just don’t let those silly superstitions affect you!

    GO IRISH! Beat Trojans!

    Notre Dame wins this game by 2 touchdowns. I would like to see Alabama lose to Georgia and get someone different in championship game.

    When has a 2-QB system ever worked? Thanks a lot, Michigan. Now I have to listen to Ohio State fans talk about how they are the true national champions.
