The broadcast schedule begins on Monday, November 12 with the season opener against Yale in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. Game time from Hagan Arena is 7 p.m.
Every other game this season will be broadcast live and in its entirety on SportsRadio 610 WIP, with the exception of the January 19th contest against Penn, which will be carried by CBS Radio sister station 1210 WPHT at 5 p.m.
“We are excited to again be partnering with a legendary sports station such as SportsRadio WIP,” said Saint Joseph’s coach Phil Martelli. “This partnership, which began last year, allowed more people than ever to follow our program and this coverage will continue to energize our passionate fan base.”
SportsRadio 610 WIP will again serve as the host for Phil Martelli’s “HawkTalk” radio show which will air live on Monday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. beginning in January. The show, which will be held again at J.D. McGillicuddys in Havertown, Pa., will return to its traditional call-in format with Martelli and host Joe Lunardi.
The Saint Joseph’s game broadcast team of Matt Martucci and Lunardi will return for their fourth season together, while Lunardi is entering his 23rd season as the Hawks’ color analyst.
WIP is one of the first all-sports formatted stations in the nation and programming for the top-rated outlet can be heard on 94.1FM and 610 AM.
