Counting down the days to tipoff previewing the incoming freshmen of the Atlantic 10. Today’s installment features the Butler Bulldogs.
Welcome to the Atlantic 10. After finishing with 11 wins and seven losses in the Horizon League, Brad Stevens and his Butler Bulldogs make the move to the A-10. The Bulldogs, which were national runner-ups in 2010 and ’11, lost to Pitt 68-62 in the 2012 CBI Tournament semi-final. Point guard Ronald Nored graduated from that team.
Butler welcomes a trio of freshmen: Kellen Dunham, Chris Harrison-Docks and Devontae Morgan.
Kellen Dunham 6’6” 185lbs. G Pendleton, Ind./ Pendleton Heights

Four-year varsity starter at Okemos High School…two-time first team All-State player…three-time All-Area performer…three-year team captain…averaged 23 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds and 3.5 steals as a senior…averaged 24 points as a junior and 18 points as a sophomore…finished as the all-time leading scorer at Okemos with 1,426 career points…posted a high game of 38 points against Waverly as a senior…scored 35 points each against Eastern as a senior and Lansing Catholic as a junior…handed out a career-best 11 assists against Waverly in final prep season…had ten rebounds against Jackson as a senior…helped high school squad to conference, district and regional titles…three-year honor roll and National Honor Society student…High School Coach: Dan Stolz.

Named the No. 1 shooter in the preseason by Foxsports.com…set Arkansas’ school record for points in a game with 51 vs. Alcorn St…. named the country’s best shooter by ESPN’s Andy Katz…ranked 9th in the NCAA in three-point FGs per game (3.2) and three-point percentage (42.7%)…led his team in scoring nine times and scored in double digits 23 times.
2008-09 Highlights (Freshman at Arkansas)
Ranked as the top freshman in the nation in three-point percentage (39.3%)…averaged 12.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists…shot 93.5% from the FT line…made 83 thee-pointers…recorded 22 double figure scoring games…scored 17 points in his college debute.
High School
Led Verdigris High School to its first Class 3A state championship…became Oklahoma’s leading scorer with 3,758 points…averaged 33.2 points during his career…named first-team all-state…four-star recruit and rated the No. 21 shooting guard in the nation by Scout.com and No. 25 by Rivals.com…received over 30 offers from schools including Kentucky, Kansas, Oklahoma and Memphis before signing with Arkansas.
