POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Marist head men’s basketball coach Chuck Martin announced the signing of Khallid Hart to a National Letter of Intent on Thursday. Hart will join early signees Eric Truog and Phillip Lawrence as true freshmen for the 2012-13 season.
Khallid Hart – Guard – 6-2/180 – Newark, Del. / Sanford School
A skilled guard from Delaware, Hart will join the Red Foxes for the upcoming 2012-13 season following a decorated high school career at the Sanford School in Hockessin. A leading player on three consecutive DIAA State Championship teams, he concluded his senior season with State Player of the Year and Tournament MVP honors. In his final season at Sanford, Hart led his team with 15.7 points and 5.9 assists per game, while compiling a 23-1 overall record. He is also a member of the US Virgin Islands National Team and will participate with the squad this summer in Brazil.
