Isn’t it interesting that we are to December 22nd, and we haven’t heard Prince Fielder’s name in free agency? Is it possible that Scott Boras has scared teams away for now?

Prince Fielder will not be productive for long. He is young and HUGE!! Wait 5 years, he will be ENORMOUS!! Everyone thickens up in their early 30’s. If he’s 25 or 26, I give him 2-4 more productive years, at best. Just an opinion. Of course, time will tell.

I’m not a big baseball guy, but I was wondering the same thing last week. Is there any possibility he resigns with the Brewers?

I don’t know how I feel about the upcoming NBA season. I really don’t want to watch out of spite; however, the teams and story lines are becoming more and more intriguing. I wonder how the shortened season may affect the “older” teams like the Celts. Then again, does it benefit the younger teams like the Heat?

    Wow! https://eye-on-collegefootball.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/24156338/33991256

I’m thinking the shorter season benefits the older teams.

Matt Barkley is coming back for his senior year. Have to think he will be a leading Heisman candidate next year.

64 games in 120 days. I think teams like Oklahoma City and Memphis are going to benefit. Young and a deep bench.

The #7 (Boise State) team in the nation beat an unranked team (Arizona State) by a lot in a bowl game. Wow, is this system broken or what? #7 plays unranked? They can’t play, say, perhaps a top-15 team at least???

So a college kid had a press conference to announce that he’s returning to play? Was that some kind of joke?

Rey, I truly think the school used it as a recruiting tool. Play it up and announce that your leader is coming back for one more year. Kinda cheesy, but it is a perfect recruiting tool.

I know it is going to hurt some people on this site, but USC is going to enter next year as a Top 5 team with a very real chance for the National Championship.

To win a game or lose a game, that is the question….. for the Colts.

Are Colts’ fans rooting for a loss next week?

“64 games in 120 days. I think teams like Oklahoma City and Memphis are going to benefit. Young and a deep bench.”

Since you put it that way – yeah younger teams have an advantage…and deep teams.

Is USC eligible to win the national title next year?

I am enjoying my Sam Adams Holiday Porter.. .well I am settling for a Sam Adams Holiday Porter tonight , so this sentence will hurt a little bit.

USC is eligible to win a National Championship next year.

I am not big on the NBA and I am really not that intrigued with the season. But I am enjoying the “swing” of power in Los Angeles. Probably because I can’t stand the Lakers, but it is fun watching Los Angeles become a “Clippers” town.

Smitty? Not big on the NBA? That would change quickly if the Celtics go on a run. 🙂
