PHILADELPHIA (11/30/11) – Following an examination by Temple University team physician Dr. Ray Moyer, it has been determined that the Owls’ graduate student forward Micheal Eric will be sidelined for six weeks due to an injury to his right patella.  The injury happened during a November 25 practice.

Eric, who missed the final 10 games of the 2010-11 season due to a fracture of the same patella, ranks fourth on the team in scoring (10.5 ppg.) and currently leads the Atlantic 10 Conference with an 11.3 rebound average.  He has posted two double-doubles in the first four games.  In a win over Western Michigan (11/17) he pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds while scoring 12 points. He also posted 14 points and 12 rebounds against Wichita State (11/20).

The Lagos, Nigeria native (Church Farm (PA) School) earned his bachelor’s degree in May 2011 in advertising. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in adult and organizational development.
