PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph’s men’s basketball will have increased exposure on television for the 2011-12 season, with a minimum of 11 games to be telecast either nationally or regionally.
SJU will appear on national television twice with a pair of city games from Hagan Arena. The Villanova game on December 17 will air nationally on the CBS Sports Network, while the regular-season finale against Temple on February 25 will be televised on ESPNU.
The Hawks’ first game at the Charleston Classic against Georgia Tech on November 17 will be available on ESPN3.com and will also be picked up locally in Philadelphia by The Comcast Network (TCN). TCN will also air SJU’s next game in Charleston on November 18 against either VCU or Seton Hall.
Two of Saint Joseph’s Atlantic 10 games will be CBS College Sports Network telecasts and syndicated regionally – January 18 at Xavier and February 4 versus La Salle at The Palestra. Both of those games will be seen locally on TCN.
Saint Joseph’s is partnering with The Comcast Network to televise three home contests and two away games this season. The game at American on December 4 will be televised by TCN, as will the home game with Creighton on December 10. TCN will also broadcast home games against Dayton on January 25 and Saint Louis on February 8. The Hawks’ contest at George Washington on February 18 will be seen locally on Comcast SportsNet (CSN).
