With October comes the official start of the college basketball season as teams begin practices. Follow along as Pickin’ Splinters highlights the incoming classes of the MAAC that are “signed, sealed and delivered.”

Marist’s 2010-11 campaign ended with a loss to Fairfield 55-31 in the second round of the MAAC tournament. The Red Foxes add four freshmen to this year’s lineup: T.J. Curry, Chavaughn Lewis, Isaiah Morton and Manny Thomas.
T.J. Curry 6’1″ 190lbs. G. Christ the King – Brooklyn, New York
Helped Christ the King to back-to-back city catholic league championships in his junior and senior years … Started at point guard role as a junior when Christ the King won the state federation championship … Christ the King then reached the state federation championship final in 2010-11 with Curry playing shooting guard … Ranked #38 on MSG Varsity’s Top 100 Boys Basketball Players in NYC in 2011 … Named to Third Team CHSAA All-League as a senior.
