Here are the results from the week 3 college football poll, as voted on by you. Will Kellen Moore and Boise State get enough help to ever move into the top 2? Can Andrew Luck and his Cardinal run the table in his last collegiate year? Will a team that suffered an early setback run the table and make things interesting?

Thought it was interesting that LSU received the majority of the first place votes, but isn’t first overall. With it being so tight, it is possible that we see some movement on a week to week basis, even if the top teams win

Nice work, Kyle. As one who ranked LSU #1, I say they’re highly under-rated. 😉

Maybe you should add the actual ranking for each team. The point scale is going to vary from week to week, so that information is interesting, but not necessarily useful.

Did we decide we’re emailing you our rankings or posting as comments to a Sunday thread? Are we moving the deadline up to Sunday night? I’m in favor of that despite my initial misgivings.

Re: LSU; I found it funny in light of Wally’s sense that Les Miles is dumb, that some pundit recently reminded his listeners that Les actually operates on a different plane than do the rest of us and we should just enjoy living during his “reign”! He was serious! Certainly a different read than Wally gets!

LSU may again have enough great talent to overcome the coaching handicap that is Les Miles to win it all. But then again, maybe he’s not a handicap as Pete might be suggesting … maybe he’s just enough of an odd ball/wildcard that it psyches out opponents, therefore making him an asset to LSU. All I know is that they have one GREAT defense and are pretty good offensively as well. Their game vs Alabama will be a war … and I think LSU will win.

    Kyle —
Thanks for doing this. A favor to ask for the future … could you please also post each team’s W-L record? Always helpful to see who has a loss or two.

    Thanks …

Can’t believe Baylor didn’t sneak in. They are putting up unreal numbers.

There should be alot of movement this weekend. I would think the A&M/OKState winner would vault into the Top 5, though through no fault of the teams ahead of them.

And South Carolina… Watch out for the Dores!
