It is that time again. Let’s hear from you, readers. We had another week of stellar performances. Pick the ONE (1), UNE, UNO from April 18-24th that stands out to you, and tell us a story.

Jason Terry nabs my POTW.

Give it up for efficiency. Terry scored a game-high 32 on 14 shots. Fourteen? He averaged better than two points per shot.

Fourteen?

Terry hit 9 of 10 from behind the arc as the Dallas Mavericks swept the Los Angeles Lakers from the playoffs.  He led a Maverick bench which outscored the Lakers team 40-39 in the first half while Dallas grabbed a 24-point in the first half and never looked back.

Terry hit 1-2 from the free throw line along 11-14 in all from the perimeter to lead Dallas. He added four assists.

Who gets your POTW?

I’ll tip my hand to the Detroit Red Wings for last night’s game. They were down 3-1, in both the series and the game, and came back for the win to keep hope alive in the Motor City. It was one of the most exciting games I’ve seen in a long time.

I’ll stay with NHL hockey and give some props to the Boston Bruins for completing their 4-0 sweep of the Flyers this past week. Bruins and Lightning are on a collision course of white hot teams meeting in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Bill, great point. The Red Wings are never dead until you see them in the grave and have the coroner’s report in hand. Sharks let one get away last night … and I gotta think there’s a lot of Nervous Nellie’s in NoCal right now. I would be quite nervous!

Let’s just say that butt cheeks in the Bay area and Silicon Valley are being squeezed quite tightly right now. Hockey fans are barely breathing.

Here come the Red Wings. Dang it! 🙁
