It is that time again. Let’s hear from you readers. We had another week of stellar performances. Pick the ONE that stands out to you, and tell us a story.
Peyton Manning earns my POTW. Manning’s numbers from Sunday night might not rank among the best in his career, but it is the way Manning rolled up those numbers that is worthy of note. Manning went 20-26 for 255 yards, three touchdowns and a rating of 145. Certainly, Manning has compiled better game statistics. Just last week he completed 40-57 for 433 yards and three touchdowns. But yesterday, Manning just sliced the New York Giant defense. He managed a flawless game to the lead the Colts to a 38-14 win that wasn’t even that close.
Who gets your POTW?

Homer call here, but I’ve got to go with Da Bears!!!! This was the biggest upset by far this week in the NFL … Bears were 9 point ‘dogs. Special mention to Jay Cutler who had a great game despite running for his life most of the time.
Had the pleasure of watching the Texans come from behind and beat the Skins in a thriller. A good sign for Houston that they’ve matured … coming from behind in a hostile environment is something they haven’t done in the past. Andre Johnson is a STUD !!!!

That was really the first game I watched of Andre Johnson’s and I second what Wally said. Just throw the ball in his area and he’ll get it. Must be nice to have if you’re the QB.
I’ll give mine to Donovan McNabb in a losing effort. Don’t know his stats, but he continues to make good throws and make plays out of the pocket. He had a great throw on 3rd and 20 late in the 4th only to have it called back for holding. Would have had that game won. Only so much you can do I guess.

McNabb is playing well! But he woulda been sacked on that play had the holding not occurred … I was screaming during the play to throw the flag as the Skins lineman had the Texans pass rusher in a headlock. I live near Houston now. No dissin’ my Texans … 😉

How many teams do you have?

I know the Rockies were mentioned last week, but I am submitting Troy Tulowitzki for player of the week. Actually is there going to be a Performance of the month?
In the Tulowitzki’s last 15 games he has 14 home runs. I am pretty sure that he passed David Eckstein career home run totals in less than a half of month. Tulowitzki also has 35 RBIs during that span.
I am not sure “torrid pace” accurately describes the pace he is on.
