****Remember, try this without research. Make like Wally, and release your inner James Joyce. Show us your stream of consciousness as you try to decipher the answer.
When you think of me, think of consonants. Actually, you might want to think of those other letters. What are they called? Every word in the English language is supposed to have one. I did NOT have any of those letters in my name. Funny how I ended up at a college where the school’s nickname rhymed with what I did not have in my last name. It had a nice ring to it and made for a unique nickname. I was more than a nickname though. If you know your Big 5 history, you have heard of me. I played in a few of those games at the Palestra. Beyond the Big 5 series, I scored 32 field goals in a game. Of course, we did not have three-pointers in my day. Still, I poured in 73 that night – at the time a single-game collegiate scoring record. The basket looked the size of the Atlantic for an evening. I finished that season with 731 points. When I graduated, the Warriors drafted me fourth overall, and I made me way across town to play in the NBA for a season. I averaged five points and three rebounds while playing 31 games. By the end of the year, I realized being a dentist would serve as a better way to provide for my family.
Who am I?

“The Owl without a Vowel” Bill Mlkvy
And, yes, that’s without research. Played at Temple and has his name in the rafters at the Liacourus Center. Can ask almost anyone there about him and they’ll call him by his nickname. Here’s my question: who did he score 73 on?

Release our inner Joyce? So we can respond via Gaelic ramblings?

Wow, Rey, showing your love of the Big 5 with that answer. Good job. I don’t even recognizse that name.

Rey! is the answer man! Yes, Bill Mlkvy fits the description. I would answer your question, but I know it only through recent research.
Rey, did/ would you give this WAI a try? https://pickinsplinters.com/2010/03/28/who-am-i-march-24-2010/
Ramblings are a good thing. See Wally’s “Insight of the week” to the right. If you are inclined to use Gaelic, far be it from me to keep you from what you want to do.
