Favor to ask … now that baseball’s regular season is on the verge of completion, could you remind us benchwarmers what our original predictions were in April? I think 7 or 8 of us offered prognistications on how the season would unfold … just curious to see if anyone had mastery of the crystal ball.
Think nothing of it. It’s the least I can do considering the way you’ve been heating up with great posts of late.

Changing subjects a bit while thinking of Saturday … is anyone else “surprised” to learn that ND is a 12-13 point favorite over Washington??? Seems too optimistic to me as I would favor the Irish by only 5-7, given ND just isn’t able to really put teams away despite having a talent advantage. Plus, I think UW is better than the Purdue team that took ND to the brink last week.
Anyway, this really is a HUGE game for the Irish. Being 4-1 with positive momentum as they go into an off-week with 2 weeks to prepare (and get healthy) for USC’s visit on Oct 17 is much better than being 3-2 with two weeks of discussion on why Weis needs to be replaced. I hope ND wins by 50 ! (But somehow we all know it won’t happen that way).

By the way, Chas’s dissection of the Phils was outstandinghttps://pickinsplinters.com/2009/04/03/2821/
Thanks, Casey.
Boy … the Mets sure let down a whole lotta people this year … not just half of NYC. Cubs, Indians and Rays, too.

12-13 points does seem steep, especially considering UW’s recent performances.
