    !$@!#$!@% Bobby Jenks!!!!

White Sox up 3-1 in bottom of 9th after a beautifully pitched game by John Danks. Win the game and get to within 5 of Detroit (Sox have 6 games left vs Tigers). Stick with Danks! Stick with Danks, Ozzie!! But no … he puts in his “closer”, Bobby Jenks, to start the 9th. (Jenks for Danks for you poets). But wait … should a closer have 7 blown saves and an ERA around 3.80????? Sounds more like a mediocre middle reliever/journeyman to me. Two solo HRs later and the game goes into extras. Sox lose in the 14th. Perfect evidence as to why the Palehose will be watching the playoffs on TV: a very disappointing bullpen, a manager who has way too much “faith” in them, and an offense that can’t hit its way out of a paper bag with runners in scoring position, and a defense that makes way too many errors. Other than that, they’re a great team!! Thank God football is here!!

    GO TWINS!!!

Yeah, well check out the line on Brad Lidge. Geez….are the title hopes of the Phillies hanging on by a thread?

Hey Wally! Isn’t Lidge an ND guy?

Maybe this should be performance of the week – but kudos to Vince Young for showing up and taking Steve McNair’s kids to the Father/Son breakfast at their school. The kids weren’t even sure if they were going to go and Young stepped in take on a huge role for the day.

Regardless of his performance on the field, it does show what kind of individual Vince Young is.
