It is that time of year again to bring down the decorations and get ready to ‘trimma the tree’.
It’s also the time of year when college football rankings cause quite a stir.
Are you perplexed by the state of Division 1A College Football? Frustrated by the choices for the national title game? Here’s your chance to voice your opinions.
Starting on Saturday, December 13th and finishing on Saturday, January 3rd Pickin’ Splinters will hold its annual National Chan’ship. And you the readers decide the outcome.
Between now and December 10th readers should submit their top 16 teams. Rank the teams in the order you think they deserve. After everyone submits their rankings, we will seed the top 16 based on your votes, and hold our own tournament.
On December 13th we will post our first round of eight games. Readers then get the chance to decide the winner of each – of course substantiating your picks ad nauseam is always allowed and in fact encouraged. When everyone has submitted their winners, we will tabulate the votes to decide on the next round.
From there we will post the quarter-final on December 20th. The national semi-final will be posted on December 27th, and our chan’ship game on January 3rd.
Now is the time to rank your top 16 and submit below.
