I earned the reputation as being calm under pressure when as I freshman I led my school to the national title. I averaged just under 16 points and 8 boards per game for my scholastic career. I did earn second team All-American before graduating. From there I never lived up to expectations. In 11 seasons I grabbed over 3100 rebounds and scored almost 4500 points. In three different seasons I finished in the top ten of blocks per game. I earned the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award. Not quite what you would expect from the first pick in the draft.
