Who am I?

October 17, 2008 by Paul Gotham 4 Comments

I was born in Montreal, Quebec, and like so many Canadian lads I took to the frozen pond. I played junior hockey in Sorel and Verdun. I proved to be worthy of my first round NHL draft status. In my 22-year career I racked up some of the best numbers of all-time. I still rank in top ten for career assists, plus/minus average, shots on goal, and games played to name a few. I won the Calder Trophy as the best rookie during my freshman campaign. I took home five Norris trophies as the league’s best defense man. I also garnered the King Clancy for leadership. Thirteen times I was chosen a first-team all-star. I lit the lamp over 400 times in my career. I drank from Lord Stanley’s Cup one time.

    Oops…does spelling count? Is that a G instead of a Q?

Score one for Charles…or is that Chas? And I also struggled with this – it is Bourque.

It’s Chas. My browser keeps insisting on calling me that. Just trying to confuse you, like when Wally makes you think he’s you. 😉
