Who Am I?

October 14, 2008 by Paul Gotham 5 Comments

I am one of the youngest coaches in major college football. In fact, I’m coaching at the university where I starred as a player at a time when “life was rosy”. Most people don’t know this, but I graduated from Wally’s high school alma mater. Who am I?

I’m thinking Chicago area for Wally. Northwestern went to the Rose Bowl in 1996 with a decent running back – I want to say his name was Adrian Autry(?)

Well … which is it, Rey? Where’s the conviction?

It’s Fitzgerald … an alum of Carl Sandburg H.S. in Orland Park, IL and an All-Big 10 linebacker on their Rose Bowl team. You got it … congrats!

Surprised more of you Bosox fans aren’t logged in … I mean … given the score of the game and all.

not looking good, but they’ve been in this position before.

The running back’s name from Northwestern was Darnell Autry. Had a brief stint in the NFL, but I remember him being an integral part to NW’s success in those years. I think Adrian Autry was a Syracuse guard in the early 1990’s.
