Who am I?

September 19, 2008 by Paul Gotham 3 Comments

I was born in East Chicago, In. In my 17 seasons in the ‘Bigs’ I have worn 11 different jerseys. I have played in the World Series twice. I have won four gold gloves. I led the league in hits once. Four times I finished fourth in batting average. I have led the league in steals five times. I played on a team that qualified for basketball’s NCAA Final Four.

Yep … it’s Lofton. For those that played fantasy baseball at one time or another, Lofton was always a very high draft pick in the first half of his career with Cleveland. Great batting avg, steals, and some power.

Casey — didn’t he play hoops for Arizona State?

Lofton played with the Arizona team that made the ’88 Final Four. Nice Job Chas!
